Tooth Coloured Fillings

Before
After

Tooth coloured fillings - first the bonding agent containing the phosphate ion is light cured chemically to the enamel surface after preparation. We have a range of over 20 shades of filling materials that are light cured chemically to the bond and tooth surface. The full strength is almost immediate. The colour can improve over 2 days.

Metal Filling

Before
After

Metal fillings have been around for over 100 years and have stood the test of time. They have very poor aesthetics but are reliable. Care needs to be taken by the dentist and the team in storage and manipulation of the material. Full strength is reached after 36 hours so care is needed when biting over this time.

Porcelain Crowns

Before
After

Porcelain crowns - the teeth are prepared,an impression is taken and provisional or temporary crowns are fitted. The impression is sent to Steve Hill our dental technician of SDH in Tunbridge Wells who constructs the crowns on a precision model. He is a highly skilled ceramist. The crowns are fitted after 10 days.

Gold Crown

Gold crowns are more conservative of tooth structure. They have no aesthetics but are the choice where they are not visible. All dentists choose these crowns for themselves and their families.

Dentures

Partial chrome dentures replace any missing teeth in the mouth. They usually take 4 appointments spread over 6 weeks before the final fit. They may take a little time to bed in to the mouth and need an adjustment. They are a skeleton design and much less bulky than the traditional all plastic or acrylic denture.

Children

The practice have an NHS childrens and orthodontics contract.
